Rum Academy: Daiquiri Structue Lab w/ Shannon Mustipher

Join us Monday, June 1st 6:30PM-9:00PM at Le Du's Wines for Rum Academy: Daiquiri Structure Lab w/ Shannon Mustipher. A kickoff to New York Rhum Week. Indulge in a 2-session experience featuring a daiquiri structure tasting & a rum education workshop led by Shannon Mustipher, followed by a walk-around tasting of over 10 rums from around the globe.

Session I: 6:30 PM–8:00 PM - 6 daiquiris will be made by Shannon and guests will be able to sample each one.

Pour 1: Probitas Daiquiri (granulated sugar)

Pour 2: Probitas Daiquiri (simple syrup)

Pour 3: Clairin Communal (Haiti) – Fresh cane juice

Pour 4: Rum Fire Overproof (Jamaica) – Long fermentation / High-ester pot still

Pour 5: Privateer Bottled in Bond (USA) – Maritime aging; fermentation transparency

Pour 6: DUA Multi-Region Rum (Asia/Caribbean) – Diaspora blends and modern category direction
