"Finely curated, with a focus on small producers from lesser-known regions, and the staff are impressively knowledgeable."- Manhattan's Coolest Wine Stores, The Financial Times
$22.99
A distinctive red from Portugal’s Lisboa region, made from old, organically farmed vineyards using a traditional palhetemethod that co-ferments red and white grapes, primarily Trincadeira and Fernão Pires. The fruit is hand-harvested, destemmed, and fermented with native yeasts in open-top concrete tanks for a natural, low-intervention expression.
Fermentation proceeds spontaneously, followed by aging in concrete without temperature control, which helps preserve freshness and purity of fruit. Minimal sulfur is used, and the wine is bottled unfiltered to retain its raw, expressive character.
The result is a light, vibrant red that highlights both the energy of the vineyards and a revival of a historic regional winemaking tradition.
