A Speyside single cask single malt bottled by Murray McDavid, drawn from Glenfarclas distillery and matured for 16 years in a large Oloroso sherry butt. The whisky begins life in traditional oak before spending extended time in seasoned European oak that previously held fortified Spanish wine, allowing slow, deep interaction between spirit and wood.

The long sherry maturation builds a rich, dark profile, with layers of stewed fruits, raisins, and orange peel developing alongside warm baking spice, cocoa, and polished oak. The weight of the sherry butt contributes both structure and depth, while Glenfarclas’ naturally robust, fruit-forward spirit remains present beneath the influence of the cask.

The result is a concentrated, classic Speyside sherry-matured style—full, warming, and textured—with a long finish of dried fruit sweetness, gentle spice, and lingering oak richness.
