A distinctive small-batch mezcal from Oaxaca, produced with Espadín agave by the Cortes family in the Miahuatlán district. The process follows traditional methods: agave hearts are roasted in underground pits, crushed by tahona, naturally fermented in open-air vats, and double distilled in small copper stills, preserving a clear sense of origin and craft.
This “Quinceañera” release is notable for its extended resting period in inert vessels rather than oak, allowing the spirit to slowly settle and integrate without taking on wood influence. Time softens the edges while maintaining the purity of the agave.
The result is a composed, agave-forward mezcal with layered depth—earthy, lightly smoky, and savory, with a mineral edge and a rounded, quietly complex finish shaped more by patience than by barrel.
