"The red from La Font de la Figuera 2023 Grillat mixes old vines from the valley and young vines from the mountains, 80% old Monastrell and 20% young Garnacha. It fermented with 50% full clusters and uncrushed grapes and matured in used oak barrels and concrete vats. It has a bright ruby color and a reductive and flinty personality, with notes of struck match, serious and mineral. It was bottled with 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.65, very fine tannins and intense chalkiness. It's a clear step up from the initial vintage. It delivers incredible quality for a very moderate price. 5,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2024." -LG 01/2025
