A precise, finely tuned Langhe Nebbiolo from Francesco Versio, made from hand-harvested Nebbiolo grown in the hills around Barbaresco and neighbouring Langhe vineyards. The sites combine sandy, sun-exposed parcels with more compact, mineral-rich soils, giving the wine both perfume and structure.
In the cellar, the approach is thoughtful and restrained: native yeast fermentations, gentle extraction, and aging split between concrete and large neutral oak. The goal is clarity over weight, allowing the grape’s natural aromatic lift and site expression to remain front and center.
The result is a transparent, elegant Nebbiolo showing red cherry, raspberry, and violet, layered with subtle spice and a fine, stony undertone. Light to medium-bodied, it has firm but polished tannins and bright acidity, finishing long, dry, and delicately perfumed with a quiet mineral edge.
