"Remarkable. There’s no other way to put it. You can hear the wise voice of the old vines in this, I swear you can. It smells like perfectly ripe Chardonnay with the dollop of honeyed oxidation. Aligote is never going to have the potential complexity of Chard but this smells like a Spring festival, emotionally. It is texturaly rich but with a buttered sea salt finish that lasts for minutes. I’m writing this tasting note nearly a week after I tasted it. Special Stuff.” JT Robertson
