Domaine de Chassorney was established by pioneering natural winemaker Frédéric Cossard in 1996. Centered around leased and owned holdings near his cellar in Saint-Romain, Cossard became and continues to be one of the leading lights of natural winemaking and viticulture in the region.
In 2022, Aurélien Verdet acquired the entire Domaine de Chassorney from Frédéric Cossard, after 3 years working together as partners. Today, the wines are vinified by Aurélien, the estate covers 10.48 hectares and has 4 employees. The grape varieties grown are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté, on clay-limestone soil. The estate's grapes are certified ORGANIC by ECOCERT.
