So, despite being only a few vintages into her domaine's existence, she is starting out on Third Base in terms of the vineyard material she has to work with. What is fascinating is how decisively she's moved away from her grandpa's signature style. Instead of the rich, powerful wines of Paul Pernot, we have the chiseled, elegant, ethereal wines of Alvina. I believe she is already at the top tier of White Burgundy. Her wines are already quietly in demand but her youth means her name has yet to break into the public consciousness.
