The 2017 Vouvray "Pierres Rousses" from Catherine & Pierre Breton is a pure, mineral-driven expression of Chenin Blanc from 55-year-old vines grown in flinty clay soils in Vernou-sur-Brenne. Fermented and aged in neutral oak, it’s precise and energetic, with notes of white peach, citrus, and wildflower layered over a core of flint and subtle spice. The palate is bright and textured, with vibrant acidity and a clean, mineral finish that speaks to both terroir and careful, low-intervention winemaking.
