Description

"The distillery from which this venerable, old whisky comes from dates back to 1857 and is deeply rooted in Windsor, Ontario. This small batch Canadian whisky was distilled in 1982, making it one of the oldest Canadian whiskies ever released in the American market.

Named after Mordecai Richler’s 1959 classic novel, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, this small batch is a remarkable example of the best Canada has to offer. This first US release of EX LIBRIS pays tribute to the long apprenticeship that the master blender who crafted this rare blend has gone through to skillfully master his craft.

EX LIBRIS “The Apprenticeship” was produced with very old corn whiskies aged in casks having previously held Speyside Single Malt as well as a small percentage of rye whisky matured in quarter casks previously used for aging peated Scottish Single Malt. This whisky features a rich character with a luscious profile and beautiful vanilla tones." -La Maison Whiskey, Importer
