Pierre Usseglio Chateaunauf Blanc 2012

Pierre Usseglio Chateaunauf Blanc 750ML 2012
Sku: 000000037486

In addition to a bevy of brilliant reds, they also produce one fine white. The 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc, which is 60% Clairette, 35% Grenache Blanc and 5% Bourboulenc, aged half in stainless steel and half in barrel, offers up a fresh, salty profile with vibrant white peach, mineral and floral nuances. Medium-bodied, refreshing and delicious, with crisp acidity, itís an outstanding Chateauneuf Blanc to drink over the coming 2-3 years. Drink now-2016. An estate that continues to churn out outstanding wine after outstanding wine, regardless of the vintage, Domaine Pierre Usseglio is obviously in fine hands with brothers Jean-Pierre and Thierry Usseglio running the show. Covering roughly 55 acres in the appellation, they normally produce three Chateauneuf du Papes: a traditional made cuvee thatís roughly 75% Grenache and the rest Syrah, Mourvedre and Cinsault; a Grenache dominate Cuvee De Mon Aieul thatís aged in concrete tank; and their top Reserve des Deux Freres, which normally includes some Syrah and sees a small portion in new oak barrels. There was only one Chateauneuf du Pape produced in 2011, and no Reserve des Deux Freres in 2012.WA
