Dear Friends and Wine Lovers,
There is not a more famous name in all of German wine than J.J. Prüm. For almost 80
years the J.J. Prüm estate has maintained impeccable quality standards with nary a single misstep. Their wines are among the very finest
in Germany and always receive the highest scores in the press.
Since 1969 Dr. Manfred Prüm has directed the estate, carrying on the distinctive style of winemaking developed by his father, Sebastian Prüm.
Today, his daughter, Katharina is being slowly groomed to take over from her father. They were chosen “Winegrower of the
Year 1996” by Gault Millau, the influential French restaurant guide, and “White Wine Maker of the Year 2002” at the International Wine Challenge i
n London. The wines have true pedigree as they develop extremely slowly after which they display seductive richness and astonishing complexity.
We are proud to offer J.J. Prüm wines from the 2004 and 2005 vintages as futures on a pre-sell basis only.
Please read all the details at the end of this e-mail.
We have two J.J. Prüm Riesling Kabinett from the 2004 vintage. The wines of 2004 exhibit a classic Mosel structure, good acidity and a
pronounced minerality. If you look for a comparable earlier vintage, 2001 would be the most similar.
