Dear Friends and Wine Lovers,

Over the years Sancerre has become the quintessential summer white, and with good reason, its lively aroma and zesty, citrus flavors are the perfect refreshing, thirst quencher on a hot day.

Sancerre is actually a village, dramatically situated on a hilltop overlooking the Loire River, that has lent its name to the definitive expression of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. Its chalky, limestone soil, spreads out over the left bank of the river and imbues the wines with its flinty, herbaceous personality. Sancerre’s food friendly nature has made it internationally recognized as an essential addition to any restaurant wine list.

We are offering a mixed case of three Sancerres from three unique terroir.

Domaine La Croix St. Laurent - 2005 - $16.99
Nestled in the rolling hills near the winemaking village of Bué, Domaine La Croix has favored a south western exposure and a unique micro-climate due to its proximity to the Loire River. The estate has been in the same family sine the beginning of the 19th century and the vines have an average age of 30 years.

Vincent Gaudry - Melodie de Vielle Vignes 2005 - $22.99
Vincent Gaudry, located in Sury-En-Vaux, was certified bio-dynamic in 2002. They use no commercial enzymes, yeasts or additives and release their wines unfiltered. Their vines average out at 50 years of age hence the proprietary name “Melodie de Vieilles Vignes” (Medley of Old Vines).

Lucien Crochet – La Chêne – 2004 - $29.99
This domaine, totaling just more than 90 acres spread across the Sancerre appellation, is run by the father-and-son team of Lucien and Gilles Crochet. This white is produced from 35-year-old vines in the Clos du Chene Marchand vineyard, where the domaine has 12 acres. Lucien Crochet was chosen one of the three leading Sancerre producers by Jacqueline Freidrich, author of “A Wine and Food Guide to the Loire.”

The six pack special is with 10% off - $129.94 - Shelf price - $139.94
(2btls of each wine)

The mixed case special is 15% off - $237.89 - Shelf price - $279.88
(4btls of each wine)
