Dear Friends and Wine Lovers,
This Saturday June 24th from 3-6pm we are proud to host a very special tasting featuring some
new releases from Australian winemaker Chris Ringland.
I believe Chris is one of the most talented winemakers in the world today. He follows a Burgundian
model, using a non-interventionist, minimal manipulation approach and was among the first people in the Barossa Valley to make very
serious wine from individual parcels of grapes and limit his production levels to that parcel.
He is the winemaker for 3 Rings, Pillar Box Red (our best selling red wine), Bodegas Alto Moncayo,
Bodegas El Nido (both in Spain), La Corte (Puglia), RBJ and Rockford and over the past 15 years has consulted and made wine for
wineries such as Greenock Creek, Turkey Flat, and Hobbs.
His own tiny label Chris Ringland Vintners produces a fabulous, concentrated Shiraz from 100 year
old vineyards in miniscule quantities (less than 100 cases). It garnered a 100 point score from Robert Parker and bottles now sell
for close to $1000 at auction.
In honor of Chris’s appearance at Le Dû’s, all his wines will be on sale for this week.
